New Camera needs practice

Here are the delayed landscape pictures I owe everyone. I know the first one is a cityscape, however I was in Boston when i got my new SLR camera and I had to play around with it a little. I had a good time driving around VT taking pictures as well tho, however lacking in good weather I was. The second picture I saw while driving down through Quechee. I thought it would make an amazing picture, I really liked how the fog made for a very eerie background. The second two where taken over the highway at my first sign of sun, I had to stop and try and get how the fog had settled in the mountain, while the sun was peaking through the mountains, the photo's did not show it very well, but with time with my new camera it will come. The last picture was the same, could not quite capture the sun poking through.

This project gave me a great deal of trouble. I am not certain if it is just because my computer is out dated or if I my photo editing ability needs a great deal of work. It however took me over 8 hours to figure out how to download the software, edit the images, save them, and then upload them. I think the software is very cool, however you definitely need to know your stuff to use it. My first picture is walking down the Boston common, I just liked the photo and wanted to edit it to Make it look better. The second is driving up the road in my town, I added the street light from my Boston picture to make it look a little different. Had not Idea that it would almost look really. Very cool, I am surely going to play around with the program a bit.

Landscapes

I really enjoy taking pictures of landscapes. What is cooler than to capture those images that you walk up on or see every day. The pictures I am sharing late are from my trip again last fall ( Good thing I took alot of pictures. Sorry they are old and late. I however broke my camera taking pictures outside. I will post new images on landscapes this coming week. I had a great time taking these pictures though. Generally I was on a break from hiking, so it was incredible to stop and enjoy the world around me. The first two were in Little Cottenwood canyon in Southern Utah. The third was taken in Lancoln Dome, Wyoming. The last three where taken in the Wind River Range in Wyoming.
